If you are interested in being a volunteer junior counsellor at Oak Acres, Please see Ms. Toombs or Mr. Mitchell.
The Tech Leadership group meets at lunch today in room 101 (Mr. K's room) and is open to grades 7-9.
Tech Leadership is looking for keen students to work on projects like:
•    continuing to make our school and curriculum accessible for all through 3D design and printing
•    designing and making new Warriors swag (clothing, stickers, etc.)
•    designing and making stickers/decals/labels/posters

Kitchen Brigades – Every Tuesday after school

THE GENDER SEXUALITY ALLIANCE, OR GSA (STUDENT CLUB) at lunch, in Ms. Perry’s room #807. This is a drop-in club that anyone can join, any time in the year. It is a place for students to hang out, plan events, and talk about issues impacting 2SLGBTQ+ members of the community. Meetings will be every day 4.
The Kingston Legion had the awards ceremony for the recipients of the Remembrance Day Poster and Literary Contest. 
Congratulations go out to EWS students who were presented awards last evening at the Kingston Legion.

Duke of Edinburgh - There were 24 of the toughest grade nine Duke students that biked to Hunter River on a very cold May day last Thursday to complete their practice journey.  It was a tough bike ride but lots of fun was had.

East Wiltshire Sports

There is a fee to play each sport.  It can be paid by cash or set up a payment through the office.  You can contact me at agmacadam@edu.pe.ca to confirm if paid or not, or to make an arrangement.
The AA Girls basketball team is the only team still playing.  Therefore, I need to get the other 3 teams’ uniforms passed in as soon as possible.  Thanks to those who passed them in already.

Athletics Forms are in the lobby.  Any student wishing to play Spring Sports this year must have a permission form filled out by a parent or guardian and passed in before the first practice.

** Reminder if school is canceled or closes early, there will not be School Sport!

Please check the track and field schedule posted in the main lobby to see when tryouts are for the events you’re interested in. It’s very rainy out today, so we’ll make a decision on tryouts by 11AM for the shot put and long jump. The 2000m will go ahead rain or shine at 12:15 PM. 
Intramurals today will be free play pickleball. There will be two sessions. The first will be for grade 7 only and the second will be for grade 8/9. Sign up at lunch. 
Fry Wagon
The Fry Wagon will be here this Thursday, May 9th at lunch.  We will be selling fries for $3.00, cold pop for $2.00 and candy bags for $2.00.  Come on out and get your fries!!
